Just below water tracker, does it work?

    Generally speaking when I read questions about using GPS below water the answer is, it does not work.

    My question is would it work slightly below water? Attached to a floating object, a couple inches or so below water, anybody has tested that? I don't have a waterproof GPS so I can't test it myself.
