In Jan 2007, "Convert waypoint data in Excel file to gpx file?" thread created - some useful ideas/links, but mostly now dormant.
Under XP, I used POIconverter - cranky, but with persistence, effective; and ok with OSGB. Now using Win10.
I can make the Excel column layout, and filetype, as required. Eg, concatenation and .csv? OK. But need clear novice-level instructions.
The exported file will be opened+saved in Tracklogs, or a Garmin Etrex.

If you start with a *.gpx file and convert it to *.csv using gpsbabel, then examine the resulting *.csv in Excel, you can see what format gpsbabel requires as an input file in order to create a working *.gpx fle
