BaseCamp Mapping Questions

Ok folks I hope all is well with everyone. When I trace a hiking route in BaseCamp is their a way to have the program pick up the elevations on the route and utilitize that information "I maybe dreaming"? Everytime I do this it shows no elevations so here I am asking for a friend! lol

The answer is no lol I just got off the phone with garmin.

Ya'll aint gonna believe this! Garmin has made a life altering mapping change. Now when you plan a route and draw it the program picks up the elevations of your route. Look at the before and after photo I have attached. I had a long and lengthy discussion with some folks at Garmin back in 2025 and I dont know if this is because they tookj my suggestion or not.

I could not have been the only person asking about this but none the less my mapping life just got easier!!!
