When visiting the USA with my Garmin Drivesmart 51, on the last few visits, it continually sounds a beeping alert when we are approaching a school. This is extremely annoying, especially when caught on our video soundtrack. Is there a way of suppressing this without turning off navigation prompts altogether? I'm guessing it's something that Garmin has been made to implement.

    Thanks!

This may be a warning of a reduced speed limit as you aproach a school

This goes on for minutes, seems like hours, until we pass the school.

Sorry I missed your reply till now. I have checked this and the only alert I have set is proximity alerts near proximity points. We won't know if this has worked until we're driving in the US - though I seemed to be getting these the last time we were in the UK. Thank you for your suggestionb.
