Can Display Icons be Temp. Turned Off?

    Hi, I have a Zumo 595LM and would like to know if the data icons on the screen can be temporarily turned off/on for a better map view? I'm speaking of the regular icons that I have or are automatically displayed such as;
    + and - icon for zooming
    Speed icon
    Direction icon
    and so on......
    It would be nice if you could simply touch the screen somewhere to turn the icons on or off giving you more map area. Thanks, Ray

    I would say the answer is no, some Garmin satnavs will clear the map of all 'icons' when you touch the map screen, but this reverts back to the standard display after a few seconds
