Can't find lane assist

Have garmin nuvi 57 LM but I can't work out How to select, use or bring up LANE ASSIST / JUNCTION VIEW. I have looked at online manual but no help. What am I doing wrong? Never had sat nav before so not experienced in using them.

Lane assist / junction view is an 'always on' feature so there is no select menu for it. Try running a simulated trip so that you can see it in action without having to actually make a journey. Look for a set of grey 'arrows' on the top left of the screen for lane assist and a 'split screen' for junction view. This info. is only available on main roads
