Choosing the Right Software for Mac

    Hi,

    I am looking for software that includes or easily imports maps with elevation data. I don't have a GPS and don't want one, I just want software with elevation data (3D maps aren't necessary) so I can plan hikes and see distances with elevation correction and see elevation profiles. Do you know of any such software for the Mac, or exceptional PC software worth starting Parallels (to run Windows) for?
