I have a Garmin GpsMap 62 and have been setting it up for first use. The question I'm asking is applicable to all Garmin gps's that I've had.
In Compass setup options > setup heading > north reference, I'm offered True North or Magnetic North. Does it matter which of these I choose? I understand that there's a difference of about 6 degrees between the two. I'll be using the unit exclusively for hiking on the mountains.
