Convert gpi file

Hi all
I hope someone can help me I have michalin green guide on my garmin 3490 but am unable to see it on device to navigate to a poi but when satnav connected to PC I can find it in poi folder but I am sure it was not in custom poi folder before last update so I would like to convert the michalin gpi file back to csv to reinstall it but I am not having any luck, the michalin file is large 277 mb.
Any help to either suggest what the problem is or how I can convert would be much appreciated.

GPS Babel will convert GPI files to CSV, see link here :-

I'm not sure if there is a file size limit to GPSBabel

Thanks for reply I have tried that but it was not able to convert it.
I just can't understand why it would change and not show up on device after map update.

Are you sure that POIs are turned on on your Nuvi?, look in Settings >> Proximity Alerts >> Alerts >>Coustom POIs selected. It may be that POIs were turned off when you updated the map

yes i have checked all that and found the original gpi file and put that in poi folder but still i can't see it very odd.
the only thing i can think is Garmin must of changer something in the update.

You could try Garmin's POI loader, here :-

The POI loader will not recognise gpi files.
