Delorme inreach realtime tracking

    Can anyone explain to me how to track a Delorme inreach gps system using the earthmate app while the gps and the smart phone are not connected via bluetooth. And if not what software will allow me to track the inreach in realtime Thanks everybody.

    A standard GPS device receives navigation signals from satellites, it can't transmit anything back to the satellite, so it can't send it's position to a remote location. Some GPSs have extra walkie-talkie circuity built in so they can send a position to another GPS, or they have Bluetooth so they can have two way commuunications via a cell phone network. The Inreach is a GPS with a built-in satellite telephone, so it can send it's position via a separate satellite link to the internet, it is then possible to log into an internet server using the Earthnate App. and track the Inreach.

    However to operate the Inreach's satelite telephone you need to subscribe to a satellite telephone service, without this, you can't track the Inreach if there is no Bluetooth link
