Looking for a way to move my waypoints and routes from an ancient Delorme PN30 to Garmin 64st. I have the information on a sim card but have been unable to effect the move. Any ideas or perhaps another forum I should post this? Thanks!

I am not familiar with Delorme file formats, what file format is on the sim card?, is it *.gpx for example, it is very likely that whatever format they are in it will be possible to convert them using something like gps babel to a format that can be read into Garmin Basecamp and then downloaded to your 64st

If you can upload a sample file from your sim card into this thread (you may need to zip it in order comply with file checking), I will try to convert it for you

Nuvi, I can't open the files either. They have the prefix YBR. Also the GPS is a PN 20 not 30.

I was trying to find out the suffix of the files rather than the prefix, as it usually tells you what sort of file it is e.g. chess.exe would be an EXEcutable file and walks.gpx would be Gps EXchange file.

gps babel mentioned above will convert the following Delorme files :-

If you prefer you could upload a sample file to me using a Private Message (only viewable by me) by clicking on 'Inbox' at the top of the page and selecting 'Start a new Conversation' with Nuvi-Nebie

    Hi Nuvi,
I've determined they are GPL files. How do I send you the zip file for them I have created? I haven't been able to determine how to attach it to this thread. I would, most likely send it to you on the private message.
    Thanks!

You would select "Upload a File" at the bottom of the text entry box on either this thread or a 'Start conversation' text box as detailed in post #4 above :-
    upload.jpg
The file handler won't allow *.GPL files for upload but it will accept *.ZIP files

    Geez,

Sorry I missed that! At any rate, here they are.

I really appreciate your help here with this.

    Thanks,

    Matt

It's very possible. I will get into my Delorme program and see if I can come up with an original. It;s going to take awhile.
    Thanks!

That would be useful, if you have a Delorne program that can handle these files it may be possible to 'Save As' another file format such as *.gpx, this can then be read by Garmin Basecamp and then downloaded to your 64st
