    Hey guys
I have a new Garmin 65. I will be using it in a Polaris Ranger UTV. I want to run it from my 12 power and eliminate the cigarette adapter. I seen where voltage is stepped down. So is there a way to do this. I guess I cannot 12 volt the power and use remote turn on?
    Thanks
    kevin

The Drivesmart 65 has a USB power / Data port that must be supplied with 5 Volts, you can't use 12 Volts, the 12V to 5V converter is built into the cigarette adapter, so you would have to connect 12V to the existing adapter or get hold of another 12V to 5V converter
