From the moment I updated my Garmin Drivesmart 76 to the latest firmware (V 7.70), my device reporting it could not unlock the Parkopedia map data. Updating to the latest Map data for Europe (2026.20) has also failed to restore the data. Removing the Parkopedia .IMG file and all error messages disappear but re-installing it brings the error message back. Garmins solution to this issue was to pay £111 for a replacement re-conditions unit !

It might be worth contacting Parkopedia to see if they can help :-

Also check if a Bluetooth link to your smartphone is required :-
. . . satellite navigaton system now features free real-time services when wirelessly paired with a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone.

After pairing to a smartphone, drivers can access live parking information from Parkopedia, which provides pricing and availability trends for on-street public parking as drivers approach a destination.

Okay, so ever since I updated my Garmin, it's been saying it can't unlock the Parkopedia map stuff. I even tried updating the maps, but it didn't help! Garmin basically told me to buy a whole new one, which is super annoying.

Dude, that totally stinks that your Garmin won't unlock the Parkopedia map! It sounds like the update broke it, and it's super unfair they want you to pay for a new one. Maybe try checking online forums to see if other people had the same problem and found a free fix.
