    Using my 62s.
Can I make a route to a hunting location by first driving to a location, then walking into a given spot, then walking out and driving back home.
In short will the GPS show my complete route when driving and then walking??

The 62s will make Tracks (see definitions here), whenever it has a satellite fix, if you turn it off and then back on it will start a new Track, but if it is left on you will get a single Track for all movement.

If the GPS loses it's satellite fix it will stop tracking and will start a new one when the a fix is regained, Garmin Basecamp can edit Tracks, so you can :-
    • Split a single Track into say Drive1, Walk1, Walk2, Drive2
    • Join Tracks (due to satellite fix loss)
    • Remove part of a Track (when you went the wrong way)
    • Turn a Track into a Route for a future road trip

Thanks Again, I think I will purchase a remote antenna and put it on my truck and run the connector inside. Hopefully I won't lose the satellite fix.
    Great info on this forum.
