Etrex options menu missing

I have a Garmin Etrex Vista HCx but it does not display the options menu on any page. I have looked in the manual and done a hard reset but cannot find a way to display this menue. Please can anyone help.

I'm wondering if you are looking at the correct User Guide for your unit, I had a look though an on-line user guide (link below) and I cant find your picture :-

In this user guide, it suggests that menu options are selected for a given page by pressing the lower left hand side button :-

Thank you for the information it has been very helpful. unfortunately it seems my menu / find key is not working. i've asked to return it.
