Garmin 61 MLT-S cannot find my home address

When Garmin attempts to find my home address that I entered, it cannot find street # 278. It lists my street # as 274 or 269. Previous Garmins also could not pinpoint the actual 278 location. We have been at a this address for 35 years. The houses on this street are at least 100 yards apart and
probably more. Musicman

The house numbers on any street are supplied with all the other data within the supplied map, that is why you see the same problem on other Garmin products, they are using the same map data, it isn't down to the satnav itself, some house number data is estimated anyway it is only a guide and can't be relied upon, if the map contained exact coordinates for every house on the map the size of the map file would be too big to fit on the satnav
