Garmin Drive Smart 61

I have 2 Garmens - the Drive Smart 61and Drive Smart 60LMT. The Drive Smart 61 can be updated with new maps using wifi, whilst the Drive Smart 60LMT cannot be updated using wifi.

I have problem in using my Mac to update maps on the Drive Smart 60LMT. I have tried all options, including a new cable but the Mac will not recognise the unit.

Can I copy and transfer the files from the Drive Smart 61 to the Drive Smart 60LMT?

I don’t have a Mac, I have a windows PC.
I have no problem uploading updates etc over wifi, do you have Garmin software (eg Basecamp, Express, etc) compatible with Apple?

The DriveSmart 60 LMT does not have the Wi-Fi feature

It will be possible to copy map files from 61 to 60, but the maps may be 'locked' to the 61 meaning that they may not work on the 60

If you use Garmin Express to download the 61 map files to 'device and computer', you will be able to use Garmin Basecamp's map management program, this can check to see if the files are locked and possibly send the map files from Basecamp to the 60
