Garmin Drivesmart 55 and BC35 reversing camera

I want to use BC35 with my DS 55 Garmin. It says it is WiFi like the BC40 and does not need a receiver. Specs say the BC40 will work, and the BC35 also uses WiFi sh hould work. I know that the DS 55 needed the latest update or the BC40, does this cover the BC35? Garmin support is not consistent.

Want the BC35 because od the better resolution.

Certain Garmin satnavs only work with certain cameras, it looks like the DS55 only works with the BC30 or BC40 :-

BC30 = 240p
BC35 = 480p
BC40 = 720p this will work on the Drivesmart 55, BUT it uses batteries (not wired to car's power)
