Garmin Drivesmart 65 Route Auto Sort ?

Hi All,

I'm trying to find out if my Garmin has an auto routing option.

By this I mean... if I punch in a series of random postcodes, is there an option to auto sort that route to an effective delivery route ?

Yes, the steps would be :-

1. Enter each postcode as a 'Favourite ' (a Waypoint)
2. Apps >>Trip Planner >> New Trip
3. Enter Start Favourite
4. Add remaining Favourites using the '+' option
5. Allow the satnav to calculate a Route
6. Save by entering a name for the new Route
7. From Trip Planner select your new Route
8. Select more options '3 bar icon'
9. Select Optimise Order

Note the Opimise won't move the first and last Entries but you can choose these with the Edit Destinations option

The above is a bit fiddly and the whole process is much easier when preformed using Garmin Basecamp and then sending the Optimised Route to the satnav

Thank you so much for the reply.

Yeah it's not an elegant method, but unfortunately I wont be able to use Basecamp... as I will be out on the road already when setting the route (different route each day too).

But at least I know it's doable.
