My satnav has always been quite slow to accept information such as notes when setting Waypoints. But it has got considerably slower. I have changed the batteries but that does not make any difference. I download all of the information at the end of each walk, so there is only the new walk information on the satnav.

I have tried to reduce the amount of information I put in the notes, and to allow a couple of seconds before I select done. But it does not seem to help.

Is this normal? My friends have ETrex 20 and 30, and neither of them have this problem.

I bought the satnav last December and have recorded about 30 walks on it.

Any help would be much appreciated

You could try a Master Reset, NOTE this will erase all data on the unit, so back up anything you want to keep, then :-
    1. Ensure the device is off
    2. Press and hold Menu and Enter*
    3. Press and release Light/Power
    4. Wait to see, Do you really want to erase all user data?
    5. Release Menu and Enter
    6. Select Yes
*Press the center of the Thumb Stick.

I have done as you suggsted but it did not seem to make any difference.

When I had carried out your instructions there were still waymarks shown on the satnav

That doesn't sound right, I would try the Master Reset again
