I appreciate skepticism, but you're calling this program crap without
knowing anything about it. You didn't even download it, so how can you
legitimately judge it? Run in in a sandbox for all I care, I'm just trying
to help some people out.

Scanned with Norton 360 V2 and also SpySweeper with antivirus,
checks clean, and does seem to generate a serial number. I
don't know if they're valid numbers or not- I have no need
to test it. All my stuff is legit.

You can add seriel numbers in mapsource for installed products. In 6.14.1,
goto to Utilitues>Managa Map products and click on the "Unlock Regions" tab.
Click "Add" and enter the generated key.

This is especially useful if you have already bought some map products and
want to use them on more than one GPS without paying again.

Have you ever bought a newer map for your Garmin unit ? I have.

Not much was changed. Streets were not added to the new one. These streets
were 9 months old.

Yes, I paid for it. Never again.

I just checked the new 2009 maps and the streets are still not listed. It
still shows me driving in a blank map. Yes I advised Garmin about it last
year.
I wont waste my time doing that again.

Don't get me started about there non-reply to tech support email I sent them
a few weeks ago.

3, but let's not argue the point !

If I needed a key generating, I might be tempted to try it, but only
in a sandbox / virtual machine (as you suggested yourself IIRC)

As it is, I own http://www.garminsuck.com so you can imagine my
feelings about them already.

I'd also like to point out that the likes of MetroWizzz also exists:

Does that mean you're just not going to ever again upgrade your maps, or
that you plan to steal them in the future?

Bullcrap

Anyone interested can download it to a safe box and run unix "strings"
against it.

If you trust your computers security software, you can also just open it
in spybot Filealayzer.


Perhaps Mr Gneiss Guy can explain the presence of all the HTML spam for
Rapidshare in the file. Wonder if Gneiss Guy knows what gneiss is, or
is the author in the html header Saso Nikolov or just some random idiot
stupid enough to post it here?

Steal. They took my money and after I told them of the problem they said we
can't refund.
