Garmin nuvi 2597LMT

    I have just purchased a used Garmin nuvi 2597LMT.
    I have noticed that if I set up my destination, before starting the car, when I start the car I loose all that data. Is this normal.

    I suspect the battery inside your nuvi is past it's best, when the car is started the power to the nuvi is lost for a small amout of time however the internal battery usually keeps the nuvi running during this time, does the nuvi run from internal batteries after a charge?

    Thank you for your quick reply. It does run after charge but I dont think for very long, Ill have to check.

    It is possible to replace the battery if you're into a bit of DIY, they can be bought for about 15 AUD from Ebay
