Garmin Nuvi 3790 LM

Hi there
Being new to the forum I have an issue with my Garmin Nuvi 3790 LM.
I notice that when in standby mode showing Green background the Time is reading correct but the date and year is from years ago. Any ideas?

What version of software do you have on your 3790 ?, there was a date fix in version 4.50, the latest version is 4.70, there are some links here :-

To view the current firmware version, complete the following steps:

1. Turn on the GPS.
2. Touch "Tools".
3. Touch "Settings".
4. Touch "System".
5. Touch "About"
6. The system will display the firmware version in the second top row on the right hand side ("Software Version"), the unit ID is shown on the left hand side.
7. Touch "Back" to return to the previous page.

All this info taken from Satnav.
The standby Green screen as stated before shows the correct time but the Date reads Monday 15th July 2002. Hope this info helps.

This does sound like the 'Week Rollover Problem, where older units had a date error after about 20 years of use, however most problems were fixed before your 3790 was made

Is the date displayed on any other screen ?, if so is it correct ?
