I have just bought a used Garmin Drive Assist 50 LM, and hoping that someone could tell me how to work the voice activated navigation, according to Garmin instructions first you should say "Voice Command" then say "Find Place" but mine is not responding to the word find place, any ideas on this one, I know it works as i have seen videos of it

I did all that, my garmin responds to the phrase "voice control" and not "voice command" it does recognise my voice and has been trained, but it will not navigate by voice, there is no option on mine does it need to have special maps installed, the maps installed on mine are CN EUROPE NTU 2020.10 FOURSQUARE and CN EUROPE NTU 2020.10 UK&IRELAND, i though i read somewhere that they had to be full maps to be able to navigate using voice control,

My understanding is that 'Voice Command' is a set of 'on-screen' phrases that must be said exactly as they are displayed, whereas 'Voice Control' uses phrases that the user chooses (which the unit has never heard before)
there is no option on mine
No option for what?, do you have both Apps >> Voice Command AND Apps >> Voice Control options?

ok thanks, but mine is not responding the the phrase "voice command" it only responds to "voice control" how do you set it up to work with voice command, when you say the phrase "voice control" you are then presented with number options that you have to say, for example you say voice control and a screen appears with the options which are on mine 1 go home 2 view catagories 3 favourites 4 history 5 up ahead next page is 1 view map 2 volume 3 brightness, these are the only options available to me, i cant find any way to be able to use voice controlled navigation
