Has anyone found a replacement battery? Garmin web says not replaceable. But i've cracked the case open and it would be easy to replace IF I can find appropriate battery.

Does the battery in the Zumo you opened have any numbers on it ?, this one from Ebay claims to fit all Zumos, Garmin 361-00077-00

Thanks for the reply, and I should have posted the pix with the specs on the battery. My bat is 3.7V, 3060mAh and 11.322Wh. So the "universal" doesn't quite fit. But I'm not technical.

Ok so the part number you require is Garmin 361-000133-00, if you can't find that item there are certain things that MUST be the same and others that don't matter, the things that must be correct are :-

    • The Voltage eg. 3.7V
    • The connector shape / number and length of wires
    • The dimentions of the battery
The things that can be different are the capacity of the battery eg:- the numbers in front of mAh and Wh, replacement batteries often claim to have a bigger capacity with these numbers being bigger, if the numbers are slightly bigger the seller is probably telling the truth, if the capacity claims to be 50% or more bigger then the seller is lying in order to get you to choose their product

I want to operate my Garmin Zumo XT on a power bank.

It is an Anker PowerCore III 10K Model A1247.

    The capacity is 10000mAh 3.7 Vdc/37W.

If I connect my power bank to my Zumo, how much longer will it run using the power bank?

USB power banks output 5 Volts not 3.7 Volts however although the Zumo internal battery is 3.7 Volts, it's USB input is 5 Volts, at 10,000 mAh the capacity of the power bank is roughly 3 times bigger than the 3,060 mAh of the Zumo battery, so I would expect it to power the Zumo for 3 times as long as it's internal battery

    On a
    Code:
    akkuplus.de/Akkureparatur-Zellentausch-Garmin-Zumo-XT-361-00133-00-36-Volt-Li-Ion

Out of stock of course but I found the following:
Battery repair - cell replacement for the Garmin Zumo XT navigation device - 361-00133-00 - 3.6 volt Li-Ion
    Voltage: 3.7 volt, Capacity: 3000mAh / 2.78Wh, System: Li-Ion
made up of: 2x 454261 cells
    then:
    Single cell - 454261, Voltage: 3.7 volts. Capacity: 1500mAh / 5.55Wh. System: Li-Polymer
    Dimensions: approx. 42mm x 61mm x 4.20mm
I think the connector on the Zumo is "female micro JST 3 pin" but unsure what size pins it has.
At some point will try a single battery in there as the zumo is 3.7v. It will just have lower capacity but I don't really need capacity...
Searching for 454261also gives 7.4v batteries

If you have a Battery Depot near you they can rebuild or build you a new one.
