GPS satellite selection algorithm

Hi my friends.
I am looking for an algorithm to determine optimal satellite. Who can help me?
Please reference in case anyone has information or can help me.

HI,

Optimal in what sense?
Most often one's target is to have as low DOP as possible, and that is achieved by selecting a combination of satellites with the best range accuracy and the constellation geometry... take a look at wikipedia

I want to select 4 satellite from all visiblle satellite. How much methods usable for this selection?
