Gpsfiledepot topo maps not working on etrex30x

I recently bought an extrex 30x for backpacking and wanted to download some topo maps. I got a few off of gpsfiledepot.com which look good on garmin basecamp( image 1) but dont show up properly on the gps itself( image 2). Does anyone know what Im doing wrong?

I am guessing that the file you have downloaded from gpsfiledepot is in *.KMZ format, this is basically a 'picture' of a map rather than containing Tracks, waypoints etc, I don't own an Etrex30x but I have read that this sort of map can be viewed on the Etrex30x by placing the *.KMZ file in a sub directory on the Extrex30x Called /Garmin/CustomMaps/ (you may need to create the CustomMaps sub folder), however there are further restriction in order to make the map useable, e.g. :-

there are a variety of things that will prevent these maps from working properly. Be sure you only use non-progressive jpeg images which are no larger than 1024x1024 pixels with a file size less than 3MB. And use only numbers and letters in the filename - no special characters or blank spaces
