I have GpsMap 62s andy thinking about a upgrade. (ues the 62s since 2012)
I have seen some videos on YT, but one thing is not mentind there.

Is the 64s musch faster? When I'm moving/scrolling on the 62 it is often slow in reaction. IDoes the 64 respond faster?

And another thing. When i conect my handheld to PC and use basecamp. There is some "slowness" there also. Take sometimes long time to fully load map, and when i zoom in, the screen is grey for many seconds before map is loaded.

    Is it:
    1. Since the map is on the device and run through a cable
    2. My PC thats not good enough
Must be the first, my PC is 2 years old... and not a cheap crap.

The GpaMap64 has more memory, but that may not guarantee that it will operate any quicker.

When your GPS is connected to Basecamp for the first time, maps resident on the GPS will be copied to Basecamp this will take some time, when this has been done, you will be able to use the maps even when the GPS is not connected to the computer, when you connect next time, the set-up delay will be much less, although there will still be a period of 'setup' as shown in the picture
