    Hi
I purchased this device locally for use in Australia.
Is "Auto Guidance" automatically installed on all these models?
I read the tutorials and they refer to "only available on Premium charts, in some areas" but I was not offered and cannot find "Premium charts" anywhere!!
Attached is the relevant section from the Manual

Thanks, this link you have provided appears to be for the downloadable Navionics product rather than the maps pre-installed on my GPS which is the GPSMAP 753xsv

Auto Guidance is automatically installed on your 753, BUT this feature will only work when premium maps are installed, the maps supplied with your unit are not premium maps, the link above shows a premium map

Auto Guidance is only buit into premium maps and without this no unit will work, it is the same as car satnavs that display the speed limit for each road, this feature is part if the map software, not the unit software

Thanks for that. Any idea how I can download the premium maps to my device (whilst its on the boat and not in WiFi range of an internet connection?)

My understanding is you either purchase a microSD card that is sent to you by post, or you download to a smartphone / computer connected to the internet and write the map file to your own microSD card, either way you then place the microSD card into the 753, if you already have a microSD in the unit you would need to make sure there was enough space on it to hold the new map and then use the existing microSD when downloading, otherwise you would have to keep swapping microSD cards
