Handheld Marine GPS Recommendation

    Gang, I'm looking for a used inexpensive handheld marine GPS to use for local lake navigation to and from dock. I really don't need a new one and used is perfectly fine for me... any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance.

    As far as Garmin devices are concerned I guess the ones to look out for are the GPSMap76, 78 and 86s

    I don't see a 82s... is that the right number? Thanks for responding... I'm still researching! What do the letters mean after the number?

    Sorry it should have read 86s, I have corrected it in post #2 above, here is the info.

    In this case the 's' stands for sensors, I.e. electronic versions of compass, barometer and altimeter that don't rely on data from the GPS signals
