How do I remove the trim?

I have a Garmin 740S that I want to remove from my tritoon and replace it with a Garmin 73CV.

BOTH units have the Trim installed on the units and I can't find anything on how to properly removed the Trim.

I need to remove the Trim so I can have access to the mounting screws.

On the attached picture I show arrows going UP at the Top&Bottom of the unit.
I also show arrows going Left at the Top and Right at the Bottom of the unit.

Which way does the Trim move to remove it from the unit?
Is there any tricks to get the Trim off; such as pry from the ends, middle, etc?

If Garmin had shipped the NEW Garmin unit the trim NOT installed I could have assumed the 740 would be the same. The only thing I could find was to pry the trim off. NO WHERE did it say the direction. I did not want to break a tab off the trim.
