Ok new here so sorry for maybe a simple question.

I like to plan a trip on Google maps. There I can move the route to the roads I want (not google suggested version).
I would like to have this ROUTE PLAN on my Garmin RV 760LM.

Of course it doesn't need to be Google maps I use but is there a mapping system that can be copied over to my Garmin?
    And if so how?

I am not good at the word 'just'...as in "just download xxx system and your done".....I need a little more hand holding.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Mike

If you download Garmin Bascamp (it's a free program) and install it onto your computer, when you plug your RV 760LM to the computer Basecamp will 'see' the RV 760LM and can use any maps on it, you can plan a Route or Track in Basecamp and then download it to the RV 760LM

Note:- A Route and a Track are slightly different, click on the links to see why, certain GPS products will accept Routes but not Tracks, so Basecamp must use the same map that you have on your GPS unit

Thank you so much for the kick in the butt. I'm understanding it enough to at least get each leg of my trip on my GPS.
