    Hi there

I am a daily user of a Garmin handheld GPS 64s, 66i, etc. In the past we have always used NAD 83 GZ10 and 11 for our mapping and navigation.

This year we are changing to an Albers Equal Area Conic projection but I can't seem to get my GPS set up properly.

I am assuming in the position format the Map Datum remains NAD 83 with the Spheroid at GRS 80 but unsure of the position format settings to use.

I have the following parameters to input but not sure where they get entered? Is it a "User Grid" entered value, "Lambert", "Stereograph", etc? I have tried several combinations and am getting close to the correct location when comparing the GPS coordinates and a printed map but still out a few kilometers in the best case.

As much as I try this whole map projection topic confuses me!

Thanks in advance for any help.
