Installing Basecamp on a drive other than the system drive c:

I am using Garmin BaseCamp for Windows v4.7.5. I believe it is the latest version. When I installed it I selected a folder on my D: drive, which has plenty of space, but it seems to only allow it to be installed on my system drive C:. There is not enough on my system drive to keep it installed - my computer is already complaining about space. Does anyone know how to install this program on a drive other than the system drive?

It looks like it is possible to install Basecamp to a non 'C' drive, but only by editing the registery, see this LINK (post by Former Member), I have not done this myself and I would express caution as any mistakes made while editing the registery can be fatal
