Magellan Roadmate 1412 stuck on "please insert update sd"

    HI, i have a magellan roadmate 1412, and it worked great for years then i removed the "MAPS" file off of the gps and now it isint recognized by a laptop and it says "please Insert Update SD". there is no update sd that i have and there is no files you can get online to fix this model. if anyone can help that would be great WIN_20220122_14_39_39_Pro.jpg

    Why did you remove the maps file ?, did you have a replacement map that you intended to install in it's place ?, the unit can't work without maps, my guess is that you may have also removed some or all of the unit's operating system files, in which case you not only need a replacement map file but you also need to fix the corrupted operating system files
