MobileMapper 6 accuracy

From my readings on-line, it says the Magellan MobileMapper 6 uses WAAS correction which gives it 2-5 m accuracy. But my other readings suggest that WAAS should give 1 m or better accuracy. Why the discrepancy? And which is correct?
