Might someone help with the question of, has the unit gone bad and or is it an antenna problem?
I think it is more likely to be a problem with the unit than the antenna, probably an inability to obtain (or store) ephemeris data, without this data the unit finds individual satellites but has no knowledge of what other satellites to expect, ephemeris data gives the unit a 'picture' of the sky for up to 30 days so it knows what to look for in advance
