OK..I have given up hope of fixing my 1490 after a 10 month stint on my motorcycle.....just couldn't handle the vibes...augh! So...I'm now looking at the Nuvi 550. It says it's waterproof and motorcycle friendly. Can anyone offer any suggestions or problems with this unit....please. I don't use all of the functions that these units have, all I need is routes and general directions etc What does the masses say.......is this unit OK or is there something out there that will do what I need for the same sort of cost?
