Older Cadillac GPS update

    I am new to this forum. I need some advice.
    I bought a used Cadillac 2012 SRX from a friend’s estate. Lovely car with only 90k miles.
    Problem is the GPS is original, and woefully out of date at 10 years. The official GM navigation website only offers an update disc dated at 2016, so they newest GPS updated map is over 8 years old. I spoke with a live guy there. He said sorry, that is the best we have and no plans to release newer.
    Does anyone know if there is a way to get updated maps for these older Cadillacs? I am sorely disappointed with GM for cutting support of this model after only 4 years!

    It would help if you could find out which manufacturer / operating system is in use in the Cadillac, eg :- Garmin, Tomtom, Windows WinCE OS etc.
