Oregon 600 packed up on me.

Hello All
My Oregon 600 is busted.
It gets hot around that cracked component with the "C" written on it. I have some surface mount soldering equipment but was wondering is there are any schematic diagrams available anywhere. I would be nice to have a look at the circuit there.
Maybe a voltage regulator problem. Thanks for any info.

You might have more luck looking into general circuit diagrams using the Texas Instuments 98044A1 chip, I found an Ebay sale with the title :-

Power IC Dc/dc Converter 98044A1 Garmin Astro 320 eTrex 10 20 30 Oregon 650

I also found some links from the 98044A1 to the TI TPS51225 device although this is a 20 pin device rather than 32 pin
