Programming question

say i would like to find out if an gps units can be reprogrammed? i mean this. i want a 7' tablet that i can put my camera on but tablets are going away so i see noe tons of 7: gps units. can i put an app on them from the playstore or can i just go into them and do a factory reset and then install playstore on them and then the app i need? the gps on ebay are stating to get way cheaper then tablets are so i'm hopeing i can just convert one . thanks bp

You would have to find a GPS unit that runs Android in order of having any chance of installing Playstore and then new Apps., most GPS receivers don't run Android. You would have a much better chance of doing what you want by getting hold of a 7 inch Android tablet that has built-in GPS
