Replacement battery nui 2659

    hi - had a frustrating few days trying to find out what replacement battery I need for my nuvi 2659 lm. Finally tried to find a part number for the battery- contacted garmin support who told me the unit was discontinued (yes I know) and they did not support the unit so no help there. Has anyone any idea if the required battery is the same as say the 2689 or 2639 which are similar 6' units.

    If you are going to replace the battery yourself then the best plan is to open the unit before you order a replacement battery, this way you can note down it's dimensions, connector type, and any ID numbers, e.g.
    010-01211-01
    or
    361-00056-01

    you can then compare the info. with details supplied by sellers e.g. :-

    The Item Here

    Note, The voltage must be 3.7Volts, but the capacity may vary slightly, obviously the dimensions and connector type must be the same
