Dear All I was hoping to ask for some advice please (I am new to these devices). I am able to purchase a second hand Garmin GPSMAP 62S, but needed to ask you if it is possible to purchase marine maps for this to be used as a chart plotter on a boat OR is this not possible on the basis that this is an old model? Somewhere I heard that Garmin stops support for old models. I will highly appreciate it if anyone can tell me if it is possible to download marine charts for this model. I planning a trip to Africa (both hiking and sailing). In fact I looked at a free map website and could not find marine charts, but presumably the Garmin website has them. Are there any problems i must be aware of before buying a second hand Garmin GPSMAP 62S? I also heard somewhere that only one map can be routable. Many thanks for all your help with this.
