I have an old Garmin 62S that came with the a TOPO US 24k map that I use for hiking and backcountry travel. It has great trail information. However, unless I am zoomed in quite a bit, I cannot see the trails on the screen. I recently switched routes on a loop hike based on advice from other hikers. My Garmin was useless for navigating because the trail disappeared under a green blob (I think it was supposed to be an indicator of trees/forests). When I choose "less detail" the green blobs go away but so does the trail. Does anyone have any advice on how to make the trails more visible? Are there hidden layer controls that allow me to move the trails to the top?

    thanks,
    John

Saved tracks can be displayed on the map using a selection of different colours, maybe that will make them more visible
