Trimble Scoutmaster , incorrect date

My old trimble scoutmaster seems to work OK except it tells me the date is Nov 14, 1998. The day of the week is correct and the time is correct. Is there a way to correct this?

This is probably the 'week rolloever' problem, some GPS makers (Garmin) provided a fix for this, but I'm not sure if Trimble did, some units allow the date to be set manually, but if you can't do this I don't know of a solution.
