Does anybody know if any of the current range of basic handhelds give
a clear display of the time spent moving, like my eMap? It's an
important factor for European drivers of large goods vehicles- we're
obliged by law to take a 45 minute break every accumulated 4.5 hours
    driving.

  2. Brian,

The Garmin GPS76, and others I suppose, has the following 8 fields on
the trip computer page: trip odometer, stopped time, moving time, total
time, moving average overall average, max speed and odometer since last
    reset.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards

I confirm all. I just want to add that "stop time" is counted when you
really stop AND WHEN THERE IS NO SATELLITE RECEPTION.
So I think you could use for personal check, but sure it is not a
    "certified" proof for police.
