Use 3597 power cord with 61 LMT-S

My 3597 malfunctioned, so I purchased a 61LMT-S. The 3597 power cord contains a receiver, so traffic data was displayed. No traffic data is seen with the 61LMT-S, and I would like to see if the 3597 cord would allow me to see this info.
Are there any problems?

There are several different Garmin power + traffic receiver cords, in the UK I think the Nuvi 3597 is supplied with the GTM60, but there are also the GTM 25, 36, 70 etc. I understand that in the UK the Drive 61 LMT-S requires the GTM36 or GTM60, so your cable may be compatible, it's worth trying, as long as the connector fits your device it shouldn't do any damage
