If I was to buy an old used Garmin GPS, is it possible using Garmin Express to register it to my existing Garmin account & get map updates?

    TIA

The license for free map updates is usually held on the device, so if I give (or sell) my Nuvi 56 LM (with free Life time Maps) to you, you would be able to get the free maps using Garmin Express, you would not need a Garmin account

I have bought six used Garmin's from Ebay. I have been able to register, update software & map for all of them.

Does that include the Delorme line before Garmin bought them?

I never register any Garmin I have bought or owned so the next owner never has any problem if the unit has free lifetime maps or traffic
