Garmin Basecamp is a computer program for both Windows and Mac platforms, that allows the user to communicate with Garmin GPS devices, in order to transfer Waypoints, Tracks, Routes Maps etc. in both directions. It can also be used to view maps and create Waypoint, Tracks, Routes etc. that can then be transferred to your Garmin GPS unit.
Basecamp can be download (Free of charge), from this Garmin site :-

    NOTES
It has been reported that Basecamp Version 4.7 will not allow the download of third party maps, to fix this:- (Click HERE)

Previous versions of both Basecamp and it's predecessor Mapsource for Windows are available from this link (Click HERE)
