What use of mini SD slot on Roadmate9020T-lm

    Just purchased the above model.Cannot find any info on use of the mini SD slot.
    Looked on Magellan web page..no info.Just wondering.I like the 7" screen vs the
    4.? on the Garmin,but not sure about the unit as a whole.
